Well thats exactly what I just realized. MCC works, KDE control does not.
I edited the ntp.conf file and restarted ntpd and all is well. I think the
KDE is messing up the ntp.conf file with its own servers. then things get
whacked out. Ill try to just use MCC if I can reember it.

Anyway, all my local computers will be back on track :)
