Correct. All Mozilla is doing is invoking AVG (in your case) so it scans
the file. Ask them what that program is doing.


The information, as to what Mozilla does, IS easily available. It
invokes your installed anti-virus program. What that program does or how
it works is up to the makers of that program, not Mozilla.
