First , TB is not duplicating the text . 'mailto:richp1234@hotmail.com'
text was already present in html message . If you view that mail in
'View > Message Body as > Plain Text' mode you will find it .
'richp1234@hotmail.com' is the display part of mailto link and
mailto:richp1234@hotmail.com is the actual link . It is the way to
create a mailto link .

As far I know the best way is delete it manually but there may be an
add-on to do same :(
