- Open the DVD in a DVD player for a few seconds to unlock the drive.
- Start SmartRipper and choose a target file and make sure the time of the movie is correct and hit start.
- Open DVD2AVI. Make sure "VFAPI Plugin" is checked under Help. Open the first VOB file and the rest should add automatically. Goto Video > Field Operation > check Forced Film. Goto Audio > Output Method > Decode to WAV. Goto File > Save Project.
- Open TMPGEnc. For source browse to your .d2v file. Audio is your .wav file. Choose an output file. Load one of the SVCD Templates that says "...film". Click Settings > Advanced tab > choose "non-interlaced", "Field order A", and choose the NTSC aspect ratio that DVD2AVI showed, and Image Positioning is "Fit to frame". Goto the Audio tab and check "use audio edit". Click on Setting. Check Change Volume and change it to 250% or higher. Then hit ok back to the main program and click on Start.
