I have created a menu bar and it is in startup so when the database opens
that is the only toolbar I see. Just like I want. However, on the same line
as the toolbar - on the right - I also have a dialog box that says "type a
question for help". Can I get rid of that? Also, I have selected "no close
button" on all of my forms so the user is required to use command buttons I
have created instead in order to exit the database or to go to a different
form. However, above the menu bar is the application title, and on the right
side of that is a close button! How can I get rid of that also? Thanks for

You can customize your menu bar to hide the ask a question box - from memory
when you have your menu bar in customize mode you can click in the aks a
question box and select to hide it - or something very similar.

Thanks Jeanette. I realize that when I change my custom toolbar to a menu
bar is when I get that "ask a question" dialog box. It doesn't show up on a
toolbar. The problem is that I want it to be the only "toolbar" when the
database opens, so I need to change it to a menu bar in order to select it on
the startup options. Correct? If so, any other ideas? There is no
selection in customize to hide or deselect that question box. I am using
Access 2003.

I have found that I can hide the ask a question box when I am customizing my
custom menubar in A2003.
Try to click on the ask a question box on that custom menu bar while you
have the customize dialog open.
You shoule be able to get an option to show or hide that question box.
