I get it too, with Access 2003, on network drives, if the database is in Access 97 format. I don't get the error if I open the .mdb from Access 97, and I don't see the error in Access 2003 if the file is in Access 2003 format. What version of Access are you using, and is the ,mdb on a local or a shared drive? It's been happening to me for about 5 or 6 months. I've learned to ignore it, but I'd like to resolve it. -- Bob Quintal PA is y I've altered my email address. ** Posted from http://www.teranews.com ** |

Hi Bob my Access Version is 2002 & it's on a local drive.
This seems to have started after downloading a MS security patch? but I'm not sure Terry "Bob Quintal" wrote: > =?Utf-8?B?VGVycnk=?= <Terry@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in > news:72D350D7-0E95-4306-A363-995E39A2C702@microsoft.com: > > > For the last couple weeks when I try to load a Access File I get > > an error message > > > > "Windows cannot find "Drive\Filename Make sure you typed the name > > correctly & try again" > > > > The error message pops up and the file will open what's going on? > > This is annoying > > > > Thanks terry > > > Yes it's extremely annoying. I could not find anything in the knowledgebase or the groups.
