Loss of Music Playback in 2007 PowerPoint Shows
1. Installed MS Service Pack 3 for Windows XP Professional, after which the
sound files (MP3) in my PowerPoint presentations (saved in both 2003 and 2007 formats) do not play. 2. Error message states "The specified file cannot be played on the specified MCI device. The file may be corrupt, not in the correct format, no file." 3. I can play the all music files with Media Player 11.0 and Real Player outside of the PowerPoint presentations. Can anyone help. Thanks, M.S. |

The name of this newsgroup is not clear... this newsgroup is

You have posted this question to the wrong newsgroup. The access in this groups title refers to Microsoft Access, a database program. Please repost to the correct newsgroup for the program you are using. -- Fred Please respond only to this newsgroup. I do not reply to personal e-mail |

Probably someone in a PowerPoint or Windows XP forum, but this newsgroup is for a different program (Microsoft Access). The webpage can be confusing and may have misled you. -- John W. Vinson [MVP] |
