I am really new at this, How would I write the formula - if G2 equals F3

Select H3.
Format>Conditional Formatting>Formula is: =$G$2=$F$3 Format to nice red color. Note: the $ signs will "fix" G2 and F3 as Absolute if that's what you want. If you wanted to copy this to multi-cells, you may want different placement of the $ signs.
