Super Hard Question!
linked from: http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320701
I was thinking 1 full day yesterday about this....I still couldn't think a way out of this. I need to convert database sheet to Navision template as shown below(please refer to the link above for the spreadsheet. The Navision template is sorted by date. When that date is selected, Only the product and customer to that date is extracted....I just couldn't think of any possbilities on how this could be done. This is beyond Excel abilities, right? link: http://www.geocities.com/gjfeng/protoV2.xls |

RE: Super Hard Question!
Hi GJ,
First up I don't think anyone will download your link when the file asks you to enable macros. Sounds like what you are looking for is VLOOkUP and data validation. Take a look here at Debra Dalgleish's site http://www.contextures.com/tiptech.html Scroll down to Data Validation - Dependent lists as well as a few other links there. Re: Super Hard Question!
It appears that you could benefit from professional help. With a combination
of sorting>filtering>and a macro, excel can be taught to do many things to include your desires. -- Don Guillett Microsoft MVP Excel SalesAid Software dguillett1@austin.rr.com <gjfeng@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:39c44e35-42fe-4b90-9e9a-87b43b3a52b0@b9g2000prh.googlegroups.com... > linked from: http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320701 > > I was thinking 1 full day yesterday about this....I still couldn't > think a way out of this.
