Default Column width for .csv files

Is there a way to set the default column width and/or font size when opening
..csv files in Excel? I have a couple of columns that are not quite wide
enough when opening a .csv file and I don't want to have to manually widen
column.

Can this also be done in the ActiveX "Microsoft Office Spreadsheet" used in
OWC?
