Conditional format. Par scores in B3:B21, Scores C3:C21.
Select C2:C21, conditional format C2 is equal to B2-1 and format the text as
required.

Add more formats for B2-2 and B2-3

regards
Peter

Re: skins on spreadsheet for a tournament

Assuming what you posted is within A1:H4
where the par line is in row2,
individual scores in row3 down

Select B3:H4 (with B3 active), then apply CF using
Formula Is: =AND(B3<B$2,B3<>"")
Format the font to taste, Ok out
