Recover deleted excel-files on usb-stick

I accidently deleted an usb-stick with lots of important excel-files. Has
anyone by experience managed to undelete and recover them and cab give me the
name of an undelete/recover program. I already tried a lot of them, but none
of them did the job (or seems to can do the job for demo versions). What
wondered me is that of some worksheets lots of (deleted) copies exist on the
stick, with different dates. But when I view them with these programs I find
things that do not belong to these sheets even in the last version of the
sheet. And I did not save anything on the usb stick after this accident.
Is there any hope for me?

I've used this with success:
http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html

I keep a copy of it on all my USB/stick drives.

Re: Recover deleted excel-files on usb-stick

Thank you Bob for your suggestion, but I tried it already and it doesn't
work. The problem is that there are lots of different versions of the same
file. I think I need not only a program that undeletes a file, but also a
program that recovers excel-files.
Any other suggestions?

Thank you
René

RE: Recover deleted excel-files on usb-stick

Is there really nobody who ever had this problem and solved it?

Have you asked New Labour... oh wait, they don't delete them, they just
lose them... :)

You can try to recover your Excel files with Easy File Undelete
software:

http://www.munsoft.com/EasyFileUndelete/

It has an ability to preview Excel files before recovery and uses
unique modern
algorithms to recover files that other software either recovers
incorrectly or is unable to detect.

Yes, hence the smiley.

Re: Recover deleted excel-files on usb-stick

Thanks for your answer.
I tried Easy File Undelete already but I can't view the important files, so
it seems very unlikely that it can recover these files, once I bought it.
What are your experiences with it?

This program is able to show contents of recoverable files. So if you
can't see content of the file in preview window then unfortunately it
can't be recovered.
