Re: very slow browser.
Windows version? IE version?
If you connect directly to the modem, does the behavior persist? What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Kunte wrote: > To Internet access during asus router.Internet explorer web page opens > very slowly cca 4-5 min.tried to here with mozillo however is the same > Emule and utorrent work without problems. |

You need one (1) and only one (1) anti-virus application installed for security purposes. You also need to have a firewall enabled. 1. Please install an anti-virus application* of your choice and manually update it. 2. If you are running Windows XP or Vista, enable the Windows Firewall; otherwise, download/install a third-party firewall (e.g., Comodo) that's compatible with your Windows version. 3. Reboot into Safe Mode and run a full system scan with your updated anti-virus application. 4. Reboot into Windows. 5. Connect the machine directly to the modem and tell me if the slow browsing persists. =============================== *If cost is a factor, here is a free one that should suffice: http://www.free-av.com/ Your anti-virus application should be configured to seek and install updates automatically, daily, at a time when the machine is usually running and connected to the internet. It should also be configured to run a full system scan a few minutes after seeking/installing updates, also daily. Anything less is simply insufficient these days. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ |
