I wouldn't recommend you do anything "important" with IE8. That said, you
would be better served in an IE8 newsgroup.

Beta software is for two types of users: 1)beta testers, whom Microsoft
has asked to test the software to uncover problems and/or to make
suggestions, and 2) software developers who, want to test their code
against the new browser. You could add computer journalists to the list.

For the rest of us, beta software is a curiosity, a novelty and
definitely not to be used in real-life.

IE8 Beta 1 should NOT be installed on a machine used to do online banking,
or a machine where you're not willing to reinstall Windows, should the need
arise.
