Stack Overflow at line: 0
What is going on with this error message! I work for a Fortune 100 and our
website has not been changed for 6 months. All of a sudden, tons of users are complaining that they are getting this error "Stack Overflow at line: 0". Is this a browser issue with Microsoft? This error didn't used to happen and it doesn't happen with Firefox. We tell our users to try Firefox now. MICROSOFT, WHAT IS GOING ON? Any ideas? |

The information in this article:
"How to ask a question" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 will help you create a question that is more likely to provide the information you are seeking. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Stack Overflow Problem wrote: > What is going on with this error message! Re: Stack Overflow at line: 0
We have many developers that have been researching this issue for months. We
have searched every web resource we know of. We can't find any solution. Based on my research, it seems that this is happening to many people. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a clear cause or solution in any microsoft technical articles or any other web site. Any help would be appreciated. You still haven't provided this peer-support newsgroup with a coherent
explanation of what "this issue" is. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Stack Overflow Problem wrote: > We have many developers that have been researching this issue for months. Don't worry about Leonard, he posts the same response to everyone. Your description of the problem was perfectly sufficient (just not enough for Leonard). I'm a web troubleshooter and can take a look for you. Drop me a mail with the URL and steps to recreate the issue to this (temporary) address: tribbleshooter@yahoo.com |

Re: Stack Overflow at line: 0
More info needed.
What website/webpage, please? Are you the webmaster? Do /you/ get the error on your computer? If so, what Windows version and what IE version? What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)? What do the complainers have in common? Are they all running IE7 and/or Vista? Are they all using the same third-party firewall or security suite (e.g., CA Internet Security)? cf. http://groups.google.com/groups/sear...line%3A +0%22 -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Stack Overflow Problem wrote: > What is going on with this error message! Re: Stack Overflow at line: 0
You refuse to give any hint as to what these users are doing when they get
that error. Those who answer questions here generally have very poor psychic abilities. What are they doing? What security programs are installed? If it's a public site what is the URL? IE version? Windows version? Complete, exact error message?
