IE7 or Vista
When trying to look at the source code of a website, I get an error message
C:\windows\system32\notepad.exe doe not exist. I have checked and Notepad is there. I copied Notepad to a zip drive and with the zip drive plugged in I can view source code with no problems. How can I view code without doing this? What am I doing wrong? Thanks. |

Re: IE7 or Vista
Hi,
Do you have a shortcut to Notepad on the desktop? If so rename the shortcut to something other than Notepad. Also, probably won't help, but can't hurt... clear the Temporary Internet Files Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "Charles D" <CharlesD@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:72773D84-E31D-4BDF-BC07-C407BFD04B59@microsoft.com... > When trying to look at the source code of a website, I get an error message > C:\windows\system32\notepad.exe doe not exist. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. This is usually fixed by emptying the Temporary Internet Files. Also, if you have a shortcut to Notepad on your desktop rename it to Npad. -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM www.fjsmjs.com Do not reply with email |
