Java
From http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp "Verify Java Installation", I have the following: Verified Java Version Congratulations! You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 5). So can someone please tell me why the Secunia Software Inspector won't run any more, because it says --------------------------- Windows Internet Explorer --------------------------- Warning: Your system does not appear to have Sun Java installed. Sun Java is required for the Secunia Software Inspector to work. You should consider downloading the latest version of Sun Java from http://www.java.com/ before continuing. Press "OK" to proceed anyway. --------------------------- OK Cancel --------------------------- I'm confused, and a little ticked off. This Secunia site used to work ok. And another site I might mention, http://www.kevinandbethanypaige.com/Photos/Photos.html also says: "Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm)." I have un-installed Java from my computer and re-installed it to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

Re: Java
What does Secunia Support have to say about this?

Re: Java
What Firewall are you using?
If it's ZoneAlarm (Mobile Code Control feature), see if the info on the following site is of any use to you. http://www.javatester.org/version.html Good luck, Donald Anadell <budman@frozenorth.ca> wrote in message news:js21u3t0914qb5epgekq5d79l9m0me7odq@4ax.com... > > From http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp "Verify Java Installation", > I > have the following: > > Verified Java Version > > Congratulations! > > You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 5). > > So can someone please tell me why the Secunia Software Inspector won't run > any > more, because it says > > --------------------------- > Windows Internet Explorer > --------------------------- > Warning: Your system does not appear to have Sun Java installed. The first one has an empty "lib" folder, while the other has an "ext" folder within the 'lib' folder. Inside the 'ext' folder is a whole new item. There resides QTJava.zip, which holds Lord knows what. I clicked on the zip file but did NOT unpack it. Everything in it has something to do with QuickTime. I shall delete these two and see what happens. Thanks. |
