Internet explorer 7 keeps closing down.
A friend of mine has been using the Guest User account on my Windows XP
machine and regrettably has managed to pick up a bug. Initially when you launch Internet Explorer 7 in the Guest account, note this is only effecting the Guest account and no other User accounts on my PC, it would give a Dr. Watson error message and shut IE down immediately. I ran AVG and Ad-Aware and this seems to have stopped the Dr. Watson error. However now I still have two problems, the first being that once you type more than 3 characters into the address bar I get a Microsoft error now instead of the Dr. Watson one and IE shuts down. I have reset IE to no avail. The homepage on the guest account is Google and if I type in the Google search box IE does not close it is only once you type 3 or more characters into the address bar. Also when I try and delete the Browsing history I get the following error, "An exception occurred while trying to "C:\Windows\system32\inetcpl.cpl,ClearMyTracksByPr ocess 4351 444 179". I have tried to Goggle this error but found nothing. Any help greatly appreciated. Again this issue is only effecting IE 7 in the Guest User account, and when I use IE 7 in my personal User account it works fine. |

Hi,
You've received answers to your 2 previous posts (March 17 & 18.) Did those suggestions help?
