Temporary Internet Files in IE6 vs. IE7
I have 2 PCs - one on Vista Home Premium with IE7 and the other XP SP2 with
IE6. When I stream online music from an internet source, the media file (e.g. wma file) is created in the IE6 Temporary Internet Files folder but it is not on the IE7's even though they are from the same internet source. Why is that so? |

Re: Temporary Internet Files in IE6 vs. IE7
It may have something to do with the fact that IE 7 contains a
significant amount of new and improved code. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Puzzled User wrote: > I have 2 PCs - one on Vista Home Premium with IE7 and the other XP SP2 with > IE6. Re: Temporary Internet Files in IE6 vs. IE7
I found that the media files are not saved to the said folder because I have
Protected Mode set ON on IE7. After turning it off, the files are created but I encounter another problem. IE7 mis-assigns the file extension as DAT instead of WMA. How can I fix IE7 to correctly assign the file extension automatically like IE6?
