IE7 wont install with SMS updates
We may need to deploy IE7 to 5000 machines on a corporate network managed by
SMS 2003, by way of SMS Windows Updates. Our SMS reports indicate that 8 machines 'request' IE7, and consequently when we offer the update to test machines, the patch scanner runs and tells the installer that there is nothing to do... Success !..? All target machines are XP SP2 and most have a number of post SP2 updates also. Q:What can I do to indicate to the patch scanner that this update is REQUIRED on all machines, thereby making it available for install to machines subject to the advertisement? |
