Please help, my son has done something to my menu bar at the top of the
screen when i open IE7, It keeps disappearing and wont stay on if you see
what i mean, Any suggestions thanks

Click on Tools in the upper right. Then make sure there's a checkmark at
Menu Bar.

Do you see a border around the browser's window? Perhaps you hit F11
and made IE become fullscreen sized. When fullscreen, IE doesn't show
the menu bar (and the toolbars that do show will roll off the top of the
screen until you put the cursor up there).

"It keeps disappearing". So what does that mean exactly? Is it
displayed for awhile (minutes, hours, days) and then it suddenly
disappears? Does the menu bar show when you load IE but then disappear
in a few seconds, or less (you just see it flash away)? You're doing
something for awhile in IE and then it disappears? It never ever
appears when you load IE?

Perhaps you installed (and "you" also includes your son since YOU give
him permission to use your computer) anti-malware or security software
that locks in the settings of IE. Your kid set the menu bar to hidden,
you try to redisplay it, and the security software forces back the
original setting (that was recorded or configured in it).

Tried running IE7 in its no-addons mode? Either run
"<path>\iexplore.exe -extoff", use the No Add-Ons shortcut in the Start
menu that was created, or right-click on the IE desktop icon to select
Start Without Add-Ons. If that doesn't help, reboot the computer in
Windows' safe mode (with networking) and see if the behavior disappears.

click on the maximize button next to the red x in your upper right hand
corner.
