Downloading Large files from Microsoft Site

Hi THere,

I'm trying to download the Exchange Eval installer from the microsoft
site. It's 687 MB in size but I when attempt top download it it only
gets to about 100 MB and then the progress bars of the dowload window
show it to be completed. When I look at the file in it's download
location, sure enough it's only about 100 MB and of course it's not
the full file so it doesn't install. I've increased the disk space for
my temporary internet files 1 GB to allow for the large file download
but that's not helped. Any ideas?

I'm using IE6 SP2 on XP SP2 BTW.

Cheers

Craig

Re: Downloading Large files from Microsoft Site

Hi Broonie,

You will have to use a download manager like Star Downloader -
http://www.stardownloader.com/ (freeware version available)

There are registry tweaks to increase the server connection timeout, but the
above is the easier solution as the installer will make the registry changes
for you and you will also have an excellent download manager. PS. Beware of
BitTorrent freeware version as it is bundled with some other software
packages.

You can expect to get what you pay for.

Regards.

My company's security policy simply won't allow software like that.
What is the registry tweak as I can do that myself?
