disable automatic proxy caching - KB Article 271361 - wrong?
In looking at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/271361 I am wondering if the
registry value listed is incorrect? I am thinking "Policies" should not be in there. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Wind ows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]"EnableAutoProxyResultCache"=dword:00000000" Should it be? [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings]"EnableAutoProxyResultCache"=dword:00000000" |

I agree a policy would be listed there, however, I am referring to Method 1
which is just the registry modify method. Method 2 refers to the Group Policy method. I am just wanting to confirm that the article is correct. Just seemed a little odd. Thanks for the quick reply. When you log into a domain, the policies affect registry settings. Monitor the registry when doing method #2. I suspect the same registry keys mentioned in method #1 is what method #2 will modify. After all, those changes have to be stored somewhere and that would be in the registry. |

I am well aware of where the policies are stored. I was asking for
clarrification, but have found clarification elsewhere where a simple yes or no question got a simple answer instead of a "why wouldn't it" answer.
