new web page does not open
Windows XP, IE 7
When I click on let's say an advertisement in a web page that I would like more information on, nothing happens. IE 7 used to open a new window for the web page, but now I click and nothing happens. I can right click and choose "open a new window", and IE 7 will go ahead and do it, but I would prefer to just left click and have the new web page open (which is what it used to do). |

Re: new web page does not open
Are you clicking on a click-able area of the window? (How to tell: The
mouse pointer changes to a hand.) --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est cicada49 wrote: > Windows XP, IE 7 > When I click on let's say an advertisement in a web page that I would like > more information on, nothing happens. Re: new web page does not open
I will resist the urge to say duhhh. I might (not sure yet) have figured it
out on my own. I was browsing around IE settings and changed the pop up blocker from High to Medium. I am kind of surprised that the pop up blocker would also block me from clicking on something that would open a new web page, but it appears that is what it is doing.
