incomplete pages in IE7

I'm wondering if someone can help me. I am having issues with IE where
pages are not downloading completely but "Done" is in the left hand
corner. Also, buttons aren't working on some website. I click the
button and nothing happens. I just resubscribed for mcafee - could
that be the problem? Even my mcafee security center comes up blank.

Any ideas?

I am having the same problem with IE 7.0. When I use my Firefox browser,
the pages load completely and are entirely visible. Also, on one of the
"blocked" pages, when I remove the link to my css style sheet, the page
"appears."

That made me think I needed to validate my css style sheet and then link it
to the "blocked" page. I did validate the css style sheet and relink it, but
it still would not "appear." There is no such problem with Firefox when I
pull up the same pages.

Hi,
Message headers indicate Windows Vista?

With the warning that a reset will delete autocomplete data, such as
passwords and you will have to reinstall browser add-ons, work through this
article:
936213- How to optimize or reset Internet Explorer 7:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936213/en-us

Step 2, if necessary...
McAfee or another program may be causing the problem.
936214- How to troubleshoot compatibility problems that affect IE7 in
Windows Vista:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936214

936215- How to troubleshoot Internet Explorer 7 issues in Windows Vista:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936215/en-us

Hope this helps,

Does it seem like it's flash/java pages? Could you try going to

www.marion1.k12.sc.us

See if the top banner is missing. I've got several machines in the
district that seem to have all addons enabled, but content is not
being loaded. Thanks

Re: incomplete pages in IE7

Did you happen to uninstall Mcafee? I used a tool called Mcrem2 to
uninstall Mcafee from my machine, and now it looks like most sites
aren't coming up.

Doesn't load here.
Maybe that's because I don't have Flash installed on any of my machines.

Re: incomplete pages in IE7

Frank Saunders - I shall try your advice as I have been having this problem
for several months (XP not Vista) but because the NEW subject button doesn't
operate for me (the REPLY button does, obviously) have not been able to
introduce this subject. I am finding that buttons on web pages are
incomplete (i.e. not boxed) or are missing completely or do not operate.
Would you just let me know if your recommendations apply to XP as well as
VISTA Best wishes

Re: incomplete pages in IE7

Hallo PA Bear - as indicated in my earlier message the NEW button to create a
new thread does not respond which I am attributing to IE7(which I think is
part of my overall problem with buttons) although I CAN communicate via the
REPLY button

I don't know what advice you think I gave. I decided some months ago that
neither Flash nor Java added anything meaningful to any site I visit so I
uninstalled. I also uninstalled Adobe reader and replaced it with Foxit
(http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php); after all, people keep
issuing manuals as PDF file and I need something to read them.

If you're talking about not getting a window for a new message on the Web
forums, that is almost caused by a popup blocker in one of your third-party
toolbars.
