RE: IE7 Safe Mode
Thats rubbish IE should have a feature that allows the user to view a dump of
what the associated dll was doing at the time of a crash it would help when running applications built for IE its all very well disabling add ons to eliminate problems but it would be better have an output to see whats going wrong why disable a feature and others when you could fix the cause of the fualt "JAD" wrote: > Under Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools there is a link for > "Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)" > > > "dcmoore73" wrote: > > > I would like to see a feature in IE7 like Firefox offers that allows you to > > open IE7 in some sort of Safe mode environment where technicians can > > troubleshoot problems better. > > > > ---------------- > > This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the > > suggestions with the most votes. Re: IE7 Safe Mode
There is a tool to do this, but it is only available to the MS Connect
community for IE Beta testing. The average user has no interest or skills in trouble-shooting addon incompatibilities. There is also ProcessMon and Spy++ which can give developers insight into what their addons are doing with IE. Regards.
