Suggest you install all the following programs as well to find spyware:

Ad-Aware
Spybot
Super AntiSpyware

From the sounds of it, you have spyware which is resistant to the tools
you now have.

He only has Defender and Norton's, he didn't say he had any real security
tools to start with. :-D

Couldn't help it, sorry. Even so, the parent's reply is completely correct.
I'd also try AVG Antispyware. I can vouch for Spybot and AdAware, not the
other. I can say that AVG generally gets more stuff out these days than
Spybot and Adaware.

One thing you might do is tell us what you mean by 'hijacked'.
