unable to print from internet explorer 7 since my last critical up
The subject says it all. I can't print from internet explorer. All I get is
"code". I'm running Windows XP and am able to print from all other applications/programs. I've uninstalled / reinstalled my printer and my anti-virus software. I've check all the setting I can think of; still nothing. Any tips? |

RE: unable to print from internet explorer 7 since my last critical up
I am having same problem but it just suddenly happened. To my knowledge
nothing has been altered except possibly a 'critical' update to Win XP. I don't get any 'code/; the document/page to be printed spools up and is shown as waiting to print in the printer window but nothing ever prints. All other applications are printing without any problems. -- Against stupidity even the Gods themselves battle in vain. "TKearns" wrote: > The subject says it all. Re: unable to print from internet explorer 7 since my last critica
1. Does this behavior persist if you start IE7 in No Add-ons mode? To start
IE7 in No Add-ons mode: Right-click on the blue IE desktop icon and select Start without Add-ons; or Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No add-ons). Troubleshooting and Internet Explorer’s (No Add-ons) Mode: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/07/25/678113.aspx 2. Does the problem persist if you Reset IE7 Settings (RIES)? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 <= Read before using! 3. Start a free Windows Update support incident request: https://support.microsoft.com/oas/de...spx?gprid=6527 Support for Windows Update: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/wusupport For home users, no-charge support is available by calling 1-866-PCSAFETY in the United States and in Canada or by contacting your local Microsoft subsidiary. There is no-charge for support calls that are associated with security updates. When you call, clearly state that your problem is related to a Security Update and cite the update's KB number (e.g., KB123456). For more information about how to contact your local Microsoft subsidiary for security update support issues, visit the International Support Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx For enterprise customers, support for security updates is available through your usual support contacts. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L.ORG http://66.39.69.143/ King Harry wrote: > I followed PA Bear's suggestion and still no joy. Re: unable to print from internet explorer 7 since my last critica
PA Bear: I removed KB 942615 which I had installed on Dec 13. That solved the
printing issue and also solved another problem i.e., failure of Adobe/Acrobat reader to initiate from IE7. I sent a support item to Microsoft. -- Against stupidity even the Gods themselves battle in vain. "PA Bear" wrote: > 1. Does this behavior persist if you start IE7 in No Add-ons mode? Re: unable to print from internet explorer 7 since my last critica
What anti-virus, third-party firewall and/or anti-spyware application(s) are
installed, Your Highness? What version of Adobe Acrobat Reader are you running (e.g., v8.0.1)? Please let us know what MS has to say about all this. -- ~PA Bear King Harry wrote: > PA Bear: I removed KB 942615 which I had installed on Dec 13.
