captcha and other images not displayed
I have noticed that some website images do not display in IE7. In particular,
CAPTCHA, or verification images, don't display. I have also noticed that even images on some of the Microsoft IE7 site pages don't display. I determined it was an IE7 problem when I could not read the captcha on one of my websites with IE7, but tried Firefox and it displayed OK. I have switched to Firefox when I had it occur on other websites and the images displayed with Firefox. I have checked all the settings on IE and everything seems correct. Any ideas. |

Re: captcha and other images not displayed
Try turning off your ad blocker. You'll probably find it in your
security software. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est connie wrote: > I have noticed that some website images do not display in IE7. In particular, > CAPTCHA, or verification images, don't display. Re: captcha and other images not displayed
Hi,
Windows XP or Vista? First clear the Temporary Internet Files. Next... Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone> Reset to default. Then turn on the Windows Firewall from Control Panel> Windows Firewall and disable (as a test) your third-party firewall, security suite, other security/ad-blocking programs. See if a third-party program is blocking GIFs. Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "connie" <connie@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:CC9F95B1-F8ED-4A72-9409-C499CC061CE8@microsoft.com... > I have noticed that some website images do not display in IE7. Re: captcha and other images not displayed
windows vista: I tried resetting default settings. It has been this way since I got this computer with Vista. I tried everything I could think of as far as changing settings, but nothing works. I disabled norton and windows firewalls, turned off all protection, still just blank X for all captcha and some web images. Re: captcha and other images not displayed
I have turned off all protections, firewalls, etc. I have changed all
settings I could think of. This has been this way since I got this computer with Vista. I only see an X in all captcha and many web images, jpg and png, etc. "Leonard Grey" wrote: > Try turning off your ad blocker. RE: captcha and other images not displayed
I finally determined that the issue was that VBScript.dll was not properly
installed on my computer. If anyone has any similar issues, the user should run "regsvr32 VBScript" in a command prompt or in the run dialog and that should reslove it.
