IE7 not maintaining display of My Yahoo! home page
When I go to Yahoo and sign in, the home page appears then I get a small
window over top that says IE cannot open the website cm.my: .yahoo.com. After clicking to close the small window, and click on the mail tab before the main dissapears, I can read my mail and go anywhere on the site EXCEPT the MY Yahoo! home page. What gives? |

Re: IE7 not maintaining display of My Yahoo! home page
Windows version?
Are you using a custom HOSTS file or are you using an anti-spyware application (e.g., Spysweeper) that may have modified the HOSTS file? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Bearwulf53 wrote: > When I go to Yahoo and sign in, the home page appears then I get a small > window over top that says IE cannot open the website cm.my: .yahoo.com. > After clicking to close the small window, and click on the mail tab before > the main dissapears, I can read my mail and go anywhere on the site EXCEPT > the MY Yahoo! home page. > > What gives? |

Re: IE7 not maintaining display of My Yahoo! home page
No IE version includes a HOSTS file, standard or otherwise.
Rename C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ETC\HOSTS <=this file (no extension; not LMHOSTS) to HOSTS.OLD and see if the behavior persists. -- ~PA Bear Bearwulf53 wrote: > Not running any spyware @ this time. I should have said "a customized HOSTS file". Still, the default HOSTS file is created by Windows, not IE, yes? |
