Change back to IE 7

After uninstalling IE7 my computer would not work and i would get an errorany
time I went on the web that IE has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I tried to reboot the comp. and still it did not work. So I ended up
reinstalling IE 7. Is there anything I should know to run it smoother ???? I
have not encountered any problems as yet except slow response. I am using
Windows XP ( Do not know the version). Are there any better browser products
then IE ???? My daughter had suggested Firefox . Any comments on that ????

Re: Change back to IE 7

A bit of advice to you.
First make certain that your Anti-virus program has the latest definitions.
When you are certain of that, run a thorough search. Then, go to Microsoft
Update, download and install all updates. Reboot. Again go to Microsoft
Update, download and install all updates. Reboot. Once you have all updates
installed.

Only then should you consider an alternative browser. There are many out
there, all with slight differences in appearance and options. Here are a few
(I use them all - daily)
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com
Opera: http://www.opera.com
The World Browser: http://www.ioage.com/en/download.htm
Avant: http://www.avantbrowser.com/
Netscape: http://browser.netscape.com/

To determine what Version of XP, right click on the Computer icon on the
Desktop and choose Properties.
