GrandMa likes XP and IE6 sp2 and doesn't like changes. Something (maybe
grandchildren visiting) has changed where IE just shows the hourglass when
clicking on the dropdown arrow in the address box. Also the same happens
when entering a url without the http://

Help greatly appreciated and no way GrandMa will like an upgrade.

Hopefully you are not preoccupied with those grandchildren as this may take

Or you could run System File Checker first to see if it repairs any bad
system files for IE.

1) Insert your WinXP installation CD
2) Then go to Start > Run and type
sfc /scannow
click OK
