No tabs on IE7

I recently updated IE6 to IE7, but the TAB feature isn't available. I've
de-installed and reinstalled, but it still has the TAB feature grayed out and
not available. Anyone know what's wrong or where I can find a solution?
running Windows XP SP 2. Thanks!

Re: No tabs on IE7

You may have yet another horked (dirty; bad; flawed) install of IE7. I
suggest that you...

1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) per
http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html

2a. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window
Blinds).

2b. Disable all Norton Add-ons, if applicable.

3. Reinstall IE7 exactly per
http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install, and using
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the installation
source, not Automatic/Windows Update.

4. IMMEDIATELY go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install any
critical updates offered. If a "Root Certificates" update is listed in the
Optional category, you might install it, too, to take full advantage of
IE7's additional security.

try typing ALT-O or just click TOOLS on the Menu bar.

under Tools Select Internet Options. On the General Tab you will see Tabs
and a button for it called "Settings"

pushing "Settings" gets another pop up to show you Tabbed browsing settings.
The FIRST Check bos should be checked ENABLE TABBED BROWSING.

You have to restart Internet Explorer and SHIZZZAM you have tabs again!
Works in reverse too!

You have no chance to be ridiculous with your technical background !
