Display mixed content message purpose
In the internet zone security settings choices there is a choice to display
mixed content. What is the purpose of this setting? If you allow mixed content what security risk are you taking? How big is this risk? I know I can put sites in my trusted zone, but it is not practical when doing a lot of searching. IE7, AAW Plus, NIS 2007 -- Randu “Engineers like to solve problems. Re: Display mixed content message purpose
This option specifies whether web pages can display content from both
secure and non-secure servers. If you disable mixed content you prevent the web page from displaying non-secure content. If you enable mixed content you allow the page to display both secure and non-secure content. The default is Prompt. A non-secure server does not have a digital certificate, so there's no authentication and no encryption. This only comes into play when you are submitting personal information on the web. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Randu wrote: > In the internet zone security settings choices there is a choice to display > mixed content.
