IE 7 debug assertion failure
My IE-7 shortcut has run fine until about a month ago. Of course the error
message won't allow copying, so here are the key words: debug failed C++ on asserts (for a remedy that I can't find) dmgheap pointer The buttons are abort, retry and cancel. Clicking anyone of them will shut down explorer but first asks me if I want to notify Microsoft of this problem. I have Windows XP Home(latest) and Spyware with antivirus (deleting Norton because it just processed to unresponsiveness. I thought it was a Norton interference. I found a couple of days ago that I can have an uninterrrupted internet session if I open it up from the Start button rather than double-clicking on the desktop icon. Any ideas or suggestions? |

Try uninstalling the Google toolbar.

Does Google have issues now?

Re: IE 7 debug assertion failure
No, but older versions of Google Toolbar are well known for not playing nice
in IE7. Try uninstalling it. If all is well, reinstall via a fresh download of the current version. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Anne wrote: > Does Google have issues now? > > "Leonard Grey" wrote: > >> Try uninstalling the Google toolbar. >> >> --- >> Leonard Grey >> Errare humanum est >> >> Anne wrote: >>> My IE-7 shortcut has run fine until about a month ago.
