Is it possible to fully uninstal IE?

I've been having some issues with IE that I've tried to resolve but to no
avail.

Is it possible to fully uninstall all versions of IE on my computer or will
the original installed version always remain?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Assuming you're referring to your WinXP machine...

Uninstalling IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6)

Re: Is it possible to fully uninstal IE?

Internet Explorer is part of the operating system so it cannot be removed.

If you upgraded your version of Internet Explorer you can usually go
back to the previous version.

Experience has shown that virtually all problems reported here
concerning Internet Explorer 7 are not caused by the browser, therefore
uninstalling it - even if that were possible - would not solve your
undescribed issues.

Thanks! (I'm trying to clear up this e-mail issue thang!)

Can I ask you this? I kind of feel that after I installed SpyBot IE has been
acting slow and what not. Do you know of any conflicts with SpyBot and IE?

I bet SpyBot technical support would know.

Replying to your original thread would have been preferable. I have no idea
what your email issue is. (No, don't tell me.)

Some have observed that their machines seem to run slow with the latest
version of Spybot installed but I'm not aware of any conflicts with IE. (I
would advise you not to enable Tea Timer unless you 100% understand the
consequences of doing so.)

Re: Is it possible to fully uninstal IE?

Thank you.

I reinstalled IE 7.0 hoping it would resolve a few issues but no luck.

Here's the latest...When I open IE the tab reads "connecting" but it never
connects. What's up now?

Re: Is it possible to fully uninstal IE?

You asked how to uninstall IE7, not it doing so and then reinstalling it
would resolve your hijackware problem (which it wouldn't).

Return to your earlier thread and see my reply (#14):
