Multiple Window
Just Downloaded IE 7 - running on Windows XP with #2 productivity Pack.
When I have multiple windows open and go to close one it shuts down all the windows - thus taking me off the internet. I have tried the "tabs" feature - but it doesn't work for everything (lots of sites just open the window for you). It is driving me nuts. I am guessing this is either a simple fix (something I am missing) or a terrible design flaw. Does anyone have any suggestions or helps? Thanks. |

Re: Multiple Window
To determine if your problem is caused by a third-party add-on, start IE
7 with no add-ons. If the problem no longer occurs, one (or more) add-ons was causing the problem. All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) To determine if your problem is caused by incorrect configuration settings, reset IE 7 to its original configuration. If the problem no longer occurs, one (or more) incorrect configuration settings was causing the problem. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > under Reset Internet Explorer Settings, click Reset. Note: If you want to continue to use any of your add-ons after a reset, you'll have to reinstall them. Most third party security applications (security suites, anti-virus programs, anti-spyware programs, firewalls, ad-blockers, etc.) interact with Internet Explorer to protect your computer from malicious software. Check the settings in your security software to see if this is happening to you. Problems with IE 7 can also be caused by the presence of viruses or other malicious software. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est aimee1977 wrote: > Just Downloaded IE 7 - running on Windows XP with #2 productivity Pack. > > When I have multiple windows open and go to close one it shuts down all the > windows - thus taking me off the internet.
