Drag link to other tab?
I generally surf by having two windows open and dragging links from one to
the other but with the advent of tabbed browsing it's possible to only have one window with two tabs open and drag links from on to the other... in Firefox. Such a simple thing. I'm surprised MS didn't notice it while they were checking out the opposition. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Re: Drag link to other tab?
Hi Chewie,
Depending upon your Tabbed browsing settings you can drag and drop a link to the New Tab button (leaf) on the tabs toolbar and it will open the link in a new tab for you. It is quicker to use the Ctrl+click shortcut though. Regards. You can also middle-click links to open them in a new tab but I'd like to be able to drag them to an existing tab. Saves me having to close a tab once I've read that page. It's simple and FF does it. I'm using FF at the moment almost purely for this functionality. |
