RSS feed doesn't update once archive quota is filled.
I'm not seeing whats described here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/rssteam/archiv...02/523444.aspx namely: Archive – This is the number of feed items that IE7 keeps for a feed. When you’ve hit the max capacity for a feed, IE7 removes the older items to accommodate the new items. Instead the feed ceases to update when the max capacity entered in the properties window is reached, and thereafter, in fact, it fails to update even though the value in the properties window is increased. How do I clear the cache, or archive, or indicate that the oldest items should be cleared as new ones are posted? Am I just misunderstanding how the feed is supposed to function? |

RSS feeds may not be updated in Internet Explorer 7:

Re: RSS feed doesn't update once archive quota is filled.
(is my reply redundant? I'd lost a connection ...)
Thanks for that: this is Vista Home Premium ver.6 (build 6000); I don't think the frequency is any issue. It had worked (excellenty) until the default 200 post limit had been filled from http://www.youtube.com/rss/global/recently_added.rss. Thereafter, it failed to update, although my understanding had been that the oldest posts would be cleared as new ones were posted. Increasing the number of posts to archive would not avail: the other feeds, including MSN, are still below quota, and update fine.
