Ctrl+click on a link opens a new IE window (not tab)
Hi. That's it: When I click on a link while pressing Ctrl key, a new IE
window is opened, instead of a new tab in the original window, what is supossed to do. Does anybody know the way to change that? Thanks |

Re: Ctrl+click on a link opens a new IE window (not tab)
Hi. I just resolved this problem. I have Windows Vista Home Premium. The
"problem" was caused by nVidia utilities. These have an option to "add" the functionality to Ctrl+left_click of opening a new IE window. This doesn't allow you to select multiple items in a combo or so, because when you press Ctrl+click a new IE windows appears (actually, anywhere you Ctrl+click on the page). I don't like that a display card driver/utility decide about such questions, without telling you anything, above all. Anyway, everything is ok now. Thanks. So how did you resolve the unwanted behavior (i.e., uninstall the nVidia
utilities)? Inti wrote: > Hi. I just resolved this problem. I have Windows Vista Home Premium. The > "problem" was caused by nVidia utilities. Re: Ctrl+click on a link opens a new IE window (not tab)
Configuring nVidia utilities, unselecting a checkbox to avoid adding any
functionality to Ctrl+click in IE. It was simple but, who could imagine that such applications could mess with Ctrl+click in IE? These nVidia utilities seem to allow to configure many other options (It took me 3 minutes to find where I could change that behaviour).
