Unable to logoff after using IE7

I recently installed IE7 on a computer that I share with other family
members. There accounts are limited. If they logon and use IE7 then
attempt to logoff or shutdown, the requests are ignored and nothing happens.
The "Switch Users" request is accepted. Any suggestions?
