HTTP ERROR 400
Every page I try to visit in IE7 comes back with HTTP Error 400. I have tried
resetting all settings. Resetting Internet explorer doesn't seem to help either. Occasionally I get HTTP Error 500 also. I just tried running Internet explorer (No Add-ons) and that didn't work either. If anyone can direct me on what to do to fix this I am out of ideas. |

Re: HTTP ERROR 400
Hi,
Windows XP or Vista? Does the problem resolve if your third-party firewall or security suite is disabled? If your connection to the internet is broadband (cable, dsl) you might try this test *very* briefly (no more than 15-20 seconds) because you'll be running with security programs shutdown... Startup in Safe Mode with Networking. Start Vista in Safe Mode http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...904a11033.mspx or http://snipr.com/vistasafe XP- Safe Mode: 315222 - A description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=315222If the problem goes away, a program that didn't load in Safe Mode is causing it. Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "Abulldog" <Abulldog@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D102EE39-5ADD-4381-B20B-00CC5F13C9AC@microsoft.com... > Every page I try to visit in IE7 comes back with HTTP Error 400.
