online banking

My financial institute indicates that it does not support Vista at this
time. I was however able to register a new visa card for online banking, but
cannot sign on to my existing online agreement with them. I find it
frustrating that they came back with the "We do not support Vista", when in
fact they must as i was able to register my Visa card.

They are saying that only support a 128-bit encrypted browser version, and
they gave me the following:
Microsoft internet explorer 6.0 or later
Firefox 1.5 or later
Netscape Navigator 7.2 or later

Please help me with this problem.
Thank you

Re: online banking

Hi,
With the warning that a reset will delete autocomplete data, such as
passwords, try the Reset IE Settings button from Internet Options> Advanced.
936213- How to optimize or reset Internet Explorer 7:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936213/en-us

Step 2...
Try the User Agent String Utility from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923196/en-us It will report to the website
that the browser is IE6.

Then...
As a test, turn on the Windows Firewall from Control Panel> Windows Firewall
and disable your third-party firewall or security suite. A third-party
security program may be blocking your browse header information, so the
website can't detect browser version. If this is the problem, look through
settings of the security program for an option to block browser information
or something similar.

Hope this helps,
Don

They don't support Vista or they don't support IE7?

What anti-virus application and third-party firewall (if any) are you
running?

At this point I would get out of a bank that doesn't support Vista of IE7.
They have been out for more than a year and if they haven't adopted to them
yet they are probably too far behind on other security to be safe to use.
