Office 2007 Ent crashes constantly.
Using Office 2007 Ent on Windows XP Pro high end stand alone laptop...
It would not be a day at the office without this program crashing multiple times. The worst is after typing a long email, trying to send it, and it crashs, loosing all your work. I am in IT, so I have done all the obvious stuff, but the problem persists and leads me to believe that Office is just incredibly buggy. Why would MS put out such junk? I have been at the office for 30 minutes this AM, and it has crashed 3 times. It is almost always Outlook (scheduling an appointment, sending email). Had no problems with Office 2003 that it reaplaced Does anyone have any ideas? There are no error messages, it simply locks up and you have to use task manager to close it. I always send the error to MS. I am tired, very tired, of fightly this program...but I cannot go back to Word 03. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks bob |

RE: Office 2007 Ent crashes constantly.
Bob, I had a similar experience. I used the trial version of Office 2007 for
almost two months. I use Excel on a daily basis. It used to crash at random, with no warning. That I found the Ribbon UI to be illogical, confusing and counterproductive did not help. For these major reasons, I chose to remove Office 2007 completely and go back to Office 2003. Productivity is up and there have been NO crashes whatsoever. "but I cannot go back to Word 03." Why not? -- Gemini "Bob Day" wrote: > Using Office 2007 Ent on Windows XP Pro high end stand alone laptop... > > It would not be a day at the office without this program crashing multiple > times.
