Copy Text out of Powerpoint 2003(no background) into a new 2007 te
I have two Power Point presentations one in PP 2003 and a new template in
2007 with a different background than the old one. How do I copy all the text from the old Template ( Without the Background) into the new Template ( With the new Background)? I've been looking around for days but it seems that when I copy the old text into the new template it carries over the old baackground... Help! TIA... Stumped |

Re: Copy Text out of Powerpoint 2003(no background) into a new 2007 te
Usually, the slides should take on the attributes of the new presentation
format. However, depending on how you set up the original, that may or may not happen like it should. One way to get the text from the placeholders (where it says "click to add text") is to use Send to Word. You can send the presentation outline, then you can send it back from Word to PPT or just open the outline in PPT 2007 and apply your new formatting. You'd have to copy anything else, though -- pictures, "manual" textboxes, etc. It might be better to figure out what's going on with your background, though. For that, I'd follow Carey's suggestion to post in the PowerPoint group. (You may be able to just go into the slide master (View | Master) and delete the background image or whatever. Hard to say without knowing any details, though.) -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com What's new in PPT 2007? http://www.echosvoice.com/2007.htm Fixing PowerPoint Annoyances http://tinyurl.com/36grcd PowerPoint 2007 Complete Makeover Kit http://tinyurl.com/32a7nx "pleosss" <pleosss@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:08E20C28-7460-440E-843C-82B1C270BC84@microsoft.com... >I have two Power Point presentations one in PP 2003 and a new template in > 2007 with a different background than the old one.
