Hi There,

I want to use the Office shortcut bar in 2007. Ive read Microsoft docs that
say it not available in either 2003 /2007 but I have a 2003 system from work
that is Office 2003 and DOES have the shortcut bar.

So my question is : Is this documentation referring to a standard install
and if not how come my / or where did my office 2003 laptop get an Office
shortcut bar???

Ive checked the Add/Remove progs in control panel and *only* 2003 is
installed so its not a carry over from a 2000 version or anything.

Hi Richard,

The MS Office Shortcut bar is started by a program named MSOffice.exe
That file isn't included in Office versions after MS Office XP (2002).

From Start=>Search where on your PC is that file located?

Are there any 'XP', 2000 or 2002 series Microsoft products listed in Add/Remove Programs (not just and 'Office' suite?).

And that procedure for office 2003 will work on 2007 - I have it here!
