powerpoint 2007

My newly installed Powerpoint 2007 can't be closed by any meass but by Task
Manager - End Process. Each time it is closed an error msg appears asking if
I want to send a error report. When I click close, Powerpoint reopens
automatically. I have gone through the repair process three times.

Re: powerpoint 2007

What printer do you have installed?

Do you have any add-ins installed? You can see these by clicking Office
Button | PPT Options | Add-ins. What do you see listed there?

When it errors like that, there should be a check box that offers to re-open the
file you were working on when it crashed. It sounds like that file is what's
making it crash so reopening it puts you in a vicious cycle.

Remove the checkmark, let PPT shut down without reopening the problem file, then
restart PPT manually. With luck, that'll let you get off the hamsterwheel. <g>
