RE: Why does office keep trying to reinstall itself?
I also have this problem, but it is a little different. I have a multi-user
XP Pro system with Office 2007 Pro. The problem is only with Word, and not with Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, or Access, and it is only for my wife. For me Word opens fine. I have administrator privelige and she is a power user. I tried giving her the admin privilege and it did not resolve the problem. I also tried repairing the installation from the CD, and that did not resolve the problem.
