Re: ~WRL "file permission error" loses all of my word in Word
Google Desktop can save you to a large degree, although you will lose your formatting. Install Google Desktop and index all your files. KEEP YOUR INDEXING UP TO DATE! When Word disappears your documents, if the standard methods don't find it in Docs&Settgs/You/ApplicationData/Microsoft/Word, or in a .wbk or .tmp search, then try Google Desktop. Open Google Desktop and search an exact phrase from your dispappeared doc, in quotes (i.e., Search for "this exact phrase"). Desktop will list out some Word document links, but the documents will probably be blank if you open them. BUT, if you open the Preview for the seemingly-blank documents, the Preview will show you your text, without formatting. This Preview text can be selected and copied, and you can paste that into a blank Word document, and there is most, if not all of your text, although, unfortunately probably lacking all of your formatting. If a true fix comes out, please let me know. trklein@telus.net -- TRK ------------------------------------------------------------------------ TRK's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=39703 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=662109 http://forums.techarena.in |
