import file does not sow transactions
Hi,
When I import my bank statement file into the relevant account in money, I get a message saying that "Import is complete" but I do not see the transactions do not show up at all. I did a quick and standard repair but the problem persists. You help would be appreciated. -- Regards, Ashish Mathur www.ashishmathur.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/excelenthusiasts |

Here are four to six questions: On your AccountList, does the ToReview column have any entries that say TransactionsToRead? What OS are you using? How are you downloading? Web site or what? And if Web Site can you save the file to disk and File->Import->DownloadStatement? What version of Money are you using? |

Re: import file does not sow transactions
Hi,
My answers are provided below. Also, I have been using Money for many years now and have never faced this problem with any version. On the file menu, when I click on Import > Recover Accounts and select the money file saved on my desktop (which I downloaded from my bank's website), then I can see the new transactions in the account register. However, there are two problems here: 1. Transactions for the same date appear twice; 2. The new transactions are not highlighted. -- Regards, Ashish Mathur www.ashishmathur.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/excelenthusiasts "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup@please.tnx> wrote in message news:d1d51418a02rt65hn55avuchlk7e5qloh7@4ax.com... > In microsoft.public.money, Ashish Mathur wrote: > >> >>When I import my bank statement file into the relevant account in money, I >>get a message saying that "Import is complete" but I do not see the >>transactions do not show up at all. You could File->Restore to a point before you did that Import and try again. |

Re: import file does not sow transactions
I am experiencing the same problem with Money 2007. This feature used to
work for me, but no longer does. I believe this is a Vista issue because I think Vista is blocking access to the file when it gets downloaded to the temporary file. I have been trying to find the location of the temporary file, but have not been able to. Is there any way this issue can be forwarded to the Money developers without incurring a charge. You now you have the same problem as somebody who was getting duplicate transactions because he was importing QIF as a recovered file rather than a statement? > This feature used to >work for me, but no longer does. Right-click the link that says "click here to download your statement", then choose "Save As..." from the context menu. You can put the file anywhere you want. -- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement |
